Packaging

I did a quick mock up on how I want the white paper bag to look. Below is an image from 'from dusk till dawn' The only problems I can for see with this aspect of the brief is finding the right stock that looks thin enough and also is able print on.

Documentay Cover

I needed to change the previous design to fit the dimensions  to make a belly band round the tin. ALthough problems arose because the type wasn't working as well due to the light and dark background.

Pulp Fiction Cover

Developing the pulp cover. The colours on this are a bit harder to work with as the red is a darker colour. But solving this problem with the white looks pretty cool. Also I think that one character per cover is better that two or an image with too much detail as you lose the rawness of the halftone.

Kill Bill Cover

Design development. The last design with the halftone without the white works really well and the slightly of colour behind I think looks sick. I recon that the textured background ties the deign together rather well also.

Design

I made this DVD cover for the Tarantino documentary. It shows the style I want to create. Colourful, with black halftone, simple message and a hand made feel.

Type

Some more type development. Looking at how the type works on top of each other as thats what gonna happed on the dvd case. Also the relationship between big and small type.

I thought that 'League Gothic' worked well but the 'Q' looked a bit lame so I changed the tail to something stronger.

DVD edge

Using the colour schemes and logos I made I was experimenting what works in the way of logo and colour together. I like the idea of different colour sleeves which makes it easier to identify a particularly film and also show the different film personalities.
