Hand drawn Type

I think the book cover would work well with some hand drawn type as the looseness of hand drawn style resonates with the characters in the book.

The Competition

Here are some other re designs I found online, some interesting Ideas. I think the second one is good, it also used an element which I was going to incorporate in my design which was the cogs and machinery which appears in the book.


This is what the brief asks the design to be.

• have an imaginative concept and original interpretation of the brief
• be competently executed with strong use of typography
• appeal to a contemporary readership
• show a good understanding of the marketplace
• have a point of difference from the many other book covers it is competing against

Be BOLD

Simple shapes and colours is what I want the book cover to be like.

These book covers are layed out in a cool "retro" style and the simple block colours is similar in how I want to approach the book cover for one flew over

Design Style

This sort of 'Avent Guard' 'Art Deco' minimalist and silhouette approach is how I'm going to...approach the book cover brief.

 

Book

I purchased the book online and recieved it today. I already like the design. I am going to read it and get a real understanding of the book.
